Why We Started
Play for Life Foundation was created in response to a growing need for accessible
outdoor spaces in Bakersfield. Many families face barriers to recreation due to cost,
limited facilities, or extreme heat. Our goal is to remove those barriers by building
inclusive, community-focused spaces that serve the public at no cost.
We envision a city where children can play freely, families can gather safely, and outdoor
activity is part of everyday life.
